Sorry For Not Posting.
The past few weeks have been crazy. My daughters and I caught colds, then my son got it. My one daughter turned 6 over the past weekend. I had company over the weekend too. My days were running together. I'm trying to get back to posting coupons and deals. Remember to "Like" A Mommy On A Mission on Facebook.

Last week I shared with you the deal on heirloom tomatoes at Whole Foods Market and the recipe from Food Network magazine, well I made the pie yesterday. I have to say it is not an easy pie to make, but it was worth it, oh so yummy. My husband had 3 slices! I don't think there is anyway to make it with out dairy. The cheese filling under the tomatoes is so good!

Can't Get My Kids To Eat Healty Food.
I'm at a loss on getting my kids to eat or at least try new foods. Last night I roasted off some golden beets and sauteed the greens too. I gave each one of my kids a piece of the beet to try. My oldest put it in his mouth and began gagging before even chewing on it. Ugh! My second oldest took a bit off of his piece and said "yum mommy". I asked him if he liked it, he said yes. When I asked him to finish the piece he said "no thank you, I don't like it". Ugh, why did he say "Yum"? These two have texture issues but for goodness sake they cannot live off of chicken nuggets and peanut butter sandwiches! My oldest daughter has picked up on the boys bad eating habits and is now joining them in the picky eaters club.
Any one have any suggestions on getting them to eat new foods? I had to give each one 30 minutes of Wii time to get them all to take the first bite, last night.

Sorry For Not Posting.
I have to say sorry to my readers for not posting anything for awhile. I've been busy taking care of sick kids, injured kids, and last of all I sprained my ankle. I've had to stay off of my ankle for two weeks and I had one child in a cast, too. We've had our three, no more please. I'm trying to get back to posting.

Ever Wonder What To Give The Teachers, Therapist, Etc. for Christmas.
I don't know about you, but I find it very hard to come up with ideas for gifts for the teachers, therapist, bus driver and everyone who works with my kids at school for Christmas. I recently got an email from SchoolFamily.com with some ideas for gifts. I really like the first one, a hand written Thank you note. I can imagine that teachers are overwhelmed with gifts from each one of their students each year. A few years ago I saw note pads and post-it note pads in Targets Dollar Spot, that have a winter theme to them and started buying one of each for my kids teachers, can you ever have to many note pads?
This year I've done the same, but I will be including a hand written Thank you to the teachers. A few ideas in the SchoolFamily.com newsletter included; classroom supplies, costomized gift cards, gift baskets, and donate a library book ( I like this one too). To read SchoolFamily.com's list click here.

A Cute Activity For Halloween
Last night our doorbell rang, when my hubby opened the door...no one was there. He found a small paper bag with a ghost on it. We opened it up, to find candy and a poem. I went online to check out the website listed on the poem.
I'm not sure how booed us, I have narrowed it down to two neighbors. Both don't realize my kids cannot have candy with artificial coloring. But besides that it is a cute Halloween thing to do for fun.
While your there check out the Christmas one, been jingled. Now that one I think I'm going to do!

I Have Not Forgotten This Blog.
I just wanted to let my readers/followers know that I have not forgotten this blog. I am struggling to find some balance in my day. Between 4 kids, hubby, house, and all activities I can't seem to find much time to do anything. The baby has been going through a rough patch too. She has been having sleep issues; which cause me to be sleep deprived (as I am right now). I hope to get back to blogging soon. I will try to post the really super great deals, coupons, offers, and autism news.
P.S. Happy Halloween!

Nationwide Egg Recall-Salmonella
I saw a report on the news tonight of a nationwide Egg recall. 4 states are reporting illnesses from Salmonella from the contaminated eggs. The eggs where distributed nationwide under various store names. There are 3 codes on cartons that are apart of the recall, they are P-1026, P-1413 OR P-1946. To read more on this recall click here. So check your carton for the codes above, if you have a carton apart of the recall your to stop using them and either return them to the store or throw them away.

Over on One Place For Special Needs, the creator Dawn has posted a great article "Regular Moms vs. Special Needs Moms". I got a good chuckle out of it, I can completely relate to the verses. I just want to apologize for not posting much lately. My four kiddo arrived two weeks ago and she was three weeks early. With her arrival has come some sleepless nights and to tired to go on the computer during the day. My other 3 kiddos are keeping me very busy as they are feeling a bit left out with the new baby in the house. I will try to add new posts when I can.

Taking A Break.
I just wanted to let you know that for the next few weeks I will be taking a break from the blog. I've been put on bed rest for the next two weeks, in order to keep me from going into labor. My sister may be sharing any great deals she comes across with you. If I read anything interesting on Autism, I will try to share it with you all.
