I am all for new technology and moving forward with the digital broadcasting, but what the heck happened to my local ABC station. We upgraded our TV two years ago to a HDTV, last year we decided to move it out of the family room (kids would not stop touching the LCD screen). We relocated it to the master bed room (its now safe). Last fall we purchased a HDTV antenna for it, scanned for digital channels and found many. Last Friday when the switch took place, we lost our local digital ABC station. We all heard to advertisements it will go smoothly, you just need to rescan. I have rescanned about 20 times and still no ABC, I love ABC, no GMA, Oprah, General Hospital, UGH!
We do have a second TV w/satellite and my local ABC station had a segment on the fact that viewers are having no luck receiving their signal and gave step by step instruction on how to "reboot" the DTV or convert box. I will try it out tomorrow, if it does not work I will back blogging my frustrations! To see the suggested steps for fixing the DTV reception problems click here.
