I found your blog via the mom blogs site. I also have a toddler on the spectrum and we are starting GFCF soon, and heading towards recovery! Love your resources and money saving advice. Mind if I follow your blog? Cari

Cari,
I don't mind at all if you follow my blog, I would love it! It is easier to start the GFCF diet when the kids are younger. My oldest didn't start until he was 6 and his brother started at 4. We began the diet on our youngest first. I started by switching out his favorite dairy foods first, then slowly switched the gluten foods one at a time.
If your fortunate to live near a Whole Foods, I recently found out that if your purchase any food item and don't like it, they will take it back. Good Luck and if you need any tips or advice let me know!
Thank you!! Yes, we do live about 25 minutes from a whole foods, wow! I also have a 4 year old daughter and am thinking of just making the whole home GFCF. I have a feeling my little guy would sniff out the gluten and dairy even if we hid it:)
It is easier if the whole family goes GFCF, it does minimize your little guy from looking for gluten and dairy foods. I bet everyone will be healthier for it. Just make sure everyone gets their calcium, magnsesuim, and vitamin D, which will be lacking once dairy is removed.
